The Return of Odysseus.
The long – awaited time has arrived for the long – suffering winner of golden Troy, after so much suffering, to finally return to his beloved Ithaca!
For although in the supreme hour of his triumph, he defied and enraged the world – shaking Poseidon, the Olympians pitied him, who considered that he paid off with his own blood and that of his comrades, the debt of Hybreus.
So the mighty Zeus sent with the wing – footed Hermes, divine counsel to the nymph of the sea, to free the tortured hero, taking the difficult way back.
The return of Odysseus has begun.
